The 2010 Census will help communities receive over $400 billion in federal funds each year for things like:

  • Hospitals
  • Job training centers
  • Schools
  • Senior centers
  • Bridges, tunnels and other-public works projects
  • Emergency services
  • The data collected by the census also help
    determine the number of seats your state has
    in the U.S. House of Representatives.

TARGET Area and the Complete Count Committee

A collective effort by community organizations, faith based groups, non-profit groups, and business retailers in the Auburn-Gresham district are strategizing to form and activate the Complete Count Committee.  If you would like to volunteer to help the Complete Count Committee, work towards getting a complete count contact Rev. Autry Phillips at TARGET Area DevCorp,       773-651-6470.  You can also sign up on TARGET’s website: www.targetarea.org.  Send an email stating you would like to help the Auburn-Gresham district get a complete count. TARGET Area is a Testing Site for the U.S. Census Jobs
 
TARGET Area is a testing site for residents and constituents of the Auburn-Gresham community.  Testing is currently being performed at 1548 W. 79th St. in the “Psalms & Praise” Hall.  The census test is given two (2) times daily, on each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.   The first test begins at 9:00 am; the second test at 1:00 pm.  Please arrive 15 minutes before the test begins, and you will need to show two forms of identification.  For more information visit  www.2010censusjobs.gov.
