Dear Friend,

At the invitation of the government of France, working with Th!nkArt, Patricia Watkins, Convener of the United Congress of Community and Religious Organizations and Executive Director of TARGET Area  was invited to Paris to give a speech on building social movements with power to transcend prejudice and discrimination.  Patricia’s speech was presented in conjunction with an art exhibition on French identity by Florent Moutti during the city’s “Decolonizing Imaginations Conference” at Paris’ City Hall.  Nearly, 700 people attended the event.  At the close of the event, Paris Mayor Bertrand Delance accepted an Obama T-shirt  as a gift from Chicago’s United Congress of Community & Religious Organizations.
